Cab Ride

last updated March 18, 2008

The Alberni Pacific Railway, and its engine crews, are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity for a “Cab Ride” aboard the No. 7 - our 1929 Baldwin 2-8-2ST steam locomotive. Experience the sight, sounds, and smells of what railroading was like in the last century as you travel to/or from the McLean Mill National Historic Site. The engineer and fireman will be happy to explain to you how the train operates, and even give you a chance to blow the whistle. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with the engine crew before and after this 35-minute (approximate) experience.
