Chase & Warren Estate Winery

The Alberni Pacific "Steam" Railway is pleased to announce that they now stop at the Chase & Warren Estate Winery four times a day during their Summer Season. Chase & Warren is Canada's only winery with direct access by rail, and offers guided tours, sampling and of course the opportunity to purchase one of their wines such as a bottle of Pinoit Noir, Beaufort Blush, Oraninesteiner or Gervurtztraminer. This family-run winery started planting in 1996, sold their first bottle of wine in 2003, and now grows 38 varities of grape. More info...

Shadow Tours (Tuesday and Wednesday only)

July 1/08 to August 27/08 

Available only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, visitors will take part in an exciting walking tour that explores the history and lore of the McLean Mill National Historic Site. Explore the sawmill's, and homes' darker corners, with costumed guides, and hear the stories and legends about the previous inhabitants, local folklore, and the rich history of the Alberni Valley.
