Blacksmith for a Day
last updated: November 5, 2007
The McLean Mill NHS, and blacksmith Mike Lyle, are pleased to offer the "Blacksmith for a Day" program. This is a hands-on history experience, featuring the McLean Mill National Historic Site's blacksmith shop, which will introduce you to the basics of blacksmithing. And where, at the end of the day, you will leave with a piece of hand forged wrought iron work - made by yourself. All tools and material will be provided.
