Collections

Our Maritime Galleries have both permanent and temporary exhibits.   On permanent display in The Lighthouse are panels and artefacts related to shipping safety on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.   The Hutcheson Gallery presents the story of the 1964 Tsunami which ravaged the twin cities of Alberni and Port Alberni, including video taken at the time.   Other items include several ship models, maps of the area and maritime artefacts.
