Hisheenqu’as Living Together:
Alberni and the Birth of the Forest Industry
2010 is the 150th Anniversary of the Anderson Sawmill – once located on the harbour front where the Harbour Quay now sits. This exhibit will celebrate this anniversary by presenting a snap shot of the Alberni Valley in 1860 – focusing on the people – those that came here to build and work the Mill and those who were already making the Valley their home. The display will utilize photos, drawings, maps and objects to tell these stories.
