 ADSS Compartive Civilization Student projects from this Grade 12 class will explore topics of Unity and Diversity while examining aspects of 9 different cultures.

The Twin Cities Turn

Opening April 1, 2012

     We are Celebrating! In 1912 and 1913 the towns of Port Alberni and Alberni incorporated as cities. In recognition of this Centennial our new exhibit will focus on the establishment of the two cities by exploring the development of the 'building blocks' of a city such as: transportation, commerce, electricity, postal service, fire/police and schools and how these developments led to incorporation. Utilizing the museum's historic photograph and artefact collection in recreating key elements in the history of our city the display will be interactive and visually stimulating. An exciting feature is our children's exhibit component that will enable children to experience the exhibit through an engaging series of display activities.
