Alberni Valley Heritage Network

School Programmes

Hands on Heritage The Museum is widely recognized for quality educational programmes developed in collaboration with teachers. Programmes incorporate a hands-on component, small group work, and link museum collections and heritage topics to themes in the BC school curriculum for grades Kindergarten through to Grade 12. Our series of seven core programmes is offered each year, all year, so teachers can incorporate them into long term lesson planning. In addition, each year we offer school programmes which interpret our temporary exhibits. The grade levels and curriculum links will vary with the changing themes of the traveling exhibits. All programmes must be booked in advance. Cost: $40.00 per class To discuss your program needs, please call the Museum's Education Curator, 720-2523. To book a museum programme, please call the Booking Clerk at Echo Centre 723-2181.
